This is one sticking point that really gets to people when I talk to them about petroleum food coloring, and our own sensitivities. Nestle UK announced this Spring that they'll remove all synthetic additives from its entire line of sweets and beverages. CHINA is ditching a dozen synthetic food dyes. I'm tired of my family being the canary in the coal mine for American food manufacturers and the government. The FDA approves dyes before proving safety, so we cannot rely on them to change. Nestle and others know that the healthcare cost savings must be factored into the cost of converting to natural colorants. We have to vote with our dollars and shift the market here!
