Robyn - Thank you for devoting so much thought and attention to this very important topic. I saw your book at a Barnes and Noble bookstore prominently displayed. I do wish you great success in your quest to assist people in recognizing that hidden food allergies are impacting some families far more than they realize. In my case, I was helped greatly once I realized that I needed to avoid wheat and dairy in order to reduce inflammation and various aches and pains.

In my experience, there is also a problem with people believing that the power of prayer will assist them with problems associated with an unknown allergy. I have great respect for prayer but I am concerned that many people are avoiding the plain biological fact that we eat far differently now than in previous times. Our human bodies developed over 100,000's of years and much of what we eat today is completely foreign to any previous time in history.

Your efforts will help many different types of people. Those people (like yourself prior to facing the unavoidable truth with your son's allergies) who do not believe that allergies can be at the source of behavioral problems will find much documentation in your work. As well, those people who believe that 'everything in moderation' and different foods couldn't possibly be at the root of so many problems will find via experimentation that they feel vastly better when avoiding problematic foods.

This topic takes a lot of clear thinking and unfortunately clear thinking that is hard to come by if you are experiencing severe food allergies! Your book and websites will go a long way to help us sort through the facts and fiction associated with this timely topic. Thanks again 4 all you do! Marty

I heard about your book through a friend who went to a book signing and discussion here in Boulder. I don't have allergies, nor does my husband or my two boy. I have a lot of friends who buy organic and I buy organic produce sometimes because I thought organic only meant pesticide free. I thought washing my produce would be enough. I had no idea about GM grains or about our milk or about food coloring, etc. I read a lot of news but have somehow missed a lot of the information you presented, especially the revolving door with the FDA. I am recommending your book to everyone!! I am changing my food purchases to only buying only organic and I will read my labels a bit more carefully. I would also like to be more actively involved in changing our policies.

I wish I had read this information sooner. I have wasted years not knowing. Thank you so much for writing your story.

I just started reading it the other day. So far I like it a lot. It seems I have a very similar outlook at the food allergy problem as you, so I would like to thank you for taking the time to write it.
Thanks

I just wanted to thank you for writing this book...I got it from my library and haven't been able to put it down! As someone with a corn allergy, I've been disillusioned about FAAN (and our food supply) for some time. But your book brought up a lot of great points to ponder.
I'm recommending it to everyone I know! (And buying it as gifts...)
