Great post.

Its funny that these greedy corporate leaders who are driven towards amassing tonnes of money are mostly interested in building their legacies. Who had the largest home, who wielded the most power, who had the largest plaque on the wall of the art gallery/ charity/ museum. . . . .

Does history remember wealth? Maybe, but not as much as strong ideas. Most of these fools spend so much time figuring out how to squeeze another penny out of a market that they’ve wasted their lives producing nothing significant to history whatsoever.

History also remembers evil. Will people of the future remember how many yachts you had or how many species you destroyed?

Look to the poor for true inspiration.

I came face to face with the secrecy behind “nutraceuticals” last week when my son had an allergic reaction to a “Heart Healthy” plant sterol in his rice milk. Sure we missed the “Heart Healthy” insignia on the carton but there was no fine-print on the origins of the “plant sterol.” When I called the “Corowise” representative (a subsidiary of Cargill) they wouldn’t reveal the source on the phone and re-directed me to the rice milk comparny. Long story short – the plant sterol in question was derived from soybeans and my son has a life threatening food allergy to soy. Thankfully, he had very little and his reaction was relatively “mild.” He is six.
